Sonia Cruz joined Regional Government Services (RGS) in 2023 as an Advisor in the Finance service group. Prior to joining RGS, Sonia had over twenty years of experience in both local government and private sector accounting and finance. Her areas of expertise include managing and performing financial activities related to general ledger, revenue, accounts receivable, cash management, accounts payable, grants administration, payroll, treasury, lease accounting, internal and external audits, capital and operating budgets, and annual reports. Sonia has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in public administration and has completed coursework in income taxation. Outside of work, Sonia enjoys spending time and traveling with her family.
