The Altadena Library District Board of Trustees received a presentation from RGS’ procurement specialist John Coggins at their recent board retreat.  This presentation  provided an overview of Public Works Contracting, particularly as it applies to the California Public Contract Code.  The presentation helped elected officials understand the public agency procurement process.  Agency staff should also be aware of additional areas not covered such as  Design-Build, advertising, and pre-qualification for engineers and architects.   More information and assistance with procurements can be obtained by contacting Glenn Lazof, Director of Finance Services at glazof@rgs.ca.gov or 650.387.7302.
