RGS is proud to mark two years as a Partner in the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE).

Over the past two years, we’ve gained valuable tools, insights, and connections that have strengthened our ability to support public agencies in advancing equity and inclusion.

Through GARE’s national network—led by Race Forward and UC Berkeley’s Othering & Belonging Institute—we’ve continued to deepen our understanding and learn key lessons, including:

  • Equity requires action: Lasting change happens when equity is woven into everyday policies and practices.
  • Collaboration matters: Partnering with others accelerates progress and builds shared commitment.
  • Learning never stops: Ongoing education and reflection are essential for meaningful, sustained impact.

We look forward to continuing our work with GARE, sharing resources, and supporting efforts to build fairer, more inclusive communities across the region.

We encourage you to explore GARE and its partner organizations for helpful tools, frameworks, and ideas.
